To ensure easy handling and good optical contact of sensor chips in Reichert SPR systems, XanTec has developed the “Opto-Pad”. This thin film—made from a high-quality optical index matching polymer—replaces the messy immersion oil and makes sensor chips reusable. It is as easy as one-two-three: just place the Opto pad on the prism, place the sensor chip and mount the flow cell.
